According
to a recent survey one in seven organisations are still unprepared
for GDPR, this workshop will be focusing on how the new
legislation will affect you and your organisation. You
may have heard a lot about GDPR already,
maybe you aren't really sure what it’s all about,
or perhaps you haven't heard about it at all? But
if you and your organisation capture, handle, store, or share
any kind of personal data, then it’s actually something you really
need to know about sooner, rather than later and this free
workshop can provide some vital
information. .
What is the GDPR?
GDPR, or
the General Data Protection Regulation is a new set of EU
regulations set to come into force, as a replacement to the existing
Data Protection Act. While it builds on existing Data
Protection legislation, it represents a significant change for
organisations that hold and process personal data. The
regulations don't come into force until
May 25th 2018, but there’s plenty of things
organisations need to check or put in place before
then.
Who
will it affect?
If
your organisation holds personal data, whether in the form of
contact information or any other type of personal data (for
example, contact information, details about ethnicity, religious
belief, bank account or credit card information) elements of the new
regulations will apply. Every organisation within the EU
must comply and even with Brexit, organisations within the UK
will still have to comply with the regulations when they come in to
force.
Who
needs to know about it?
Everyone
in your organisation needs to know about GDPR and ensure that
they have been given clear guidance on the regulations and
procedures that need to be in place for due diligence.
Come
along to our workshop to find out what GDPR means for e5 users,
Advanced customers and the finance function in general.
What
else is happening at the workshop?
The meeting will
also look at e5.5 customer upgrades, future development and
host the Infochange Annual General Meeting 2017. Our
workshops also offer members great networking opportunities, a
chance to have informal discussions with Advanced and e5 users
and share best practice and product knowledge. Many
members learn things they never knew (or may have never learned) by
attending events like these – why not come along and see what
valuable insight you might uncover?
